Pre-evangelism

I'm of the opinion of Peter Bolt (Up front section of June 2010 the Briefing) who gives a blatant opinion of those who beat around the bush in really what is, never getting to the gospel. We're talking about pre-evangelism - the courting stage of telling some what the gospel is.

It is interesting to observe the techniques and methodologies that people devised to simply tell someone the gospel. It comes from a sensitivity that in my opinion is a clever means of resistance to God's work. Whilst it is good in intent and strategy, I wouldn't be surprised it is actually never amounts to anything but a good friendship.

Now by God's grace I have been put in this predicament as I start my new job. It wages on my mind everyday, when can I tell someone the gospel? Do I have to right to tell someone the gospel, when I just started out? What about my probation period. Religion and faith in the workplace is a no no, so the corporate world tells us, but when you think of the arguments that go in the office I don't know how it is any different. Please pray I can have many conversations about God with them!

So get straight to the point. Make sure everyone knows you are a devout Christian and above all trust that God is in control and doing everything!

"One another"

Here's an encouragement to keep loving 'one another'... look outward ... think about where you can serve, what you can do, because you love the Lord Jesus

Here's the table from the passages I skimmed over on Sunday, check it out.

What made it OK for God to kill woman and children in the Old Testament?

We were looking at Daniel 6 in youth group a few weeks ago and God delivered Daniel from the den of lions. But the administrators (guys who accused Daniel) were thrown into the Lion's den along with their wives and children...
Daniel 6:24 At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

I hope this audio from John Piper helps. Please click on the link below!
